With a background in both employee development and engagement, Kate Watson brings the unique experience of working with both traditional and non-traditional companies. She is passionate about developing tools that facilitate employee alignment and increase knowledge sharing across organizations.

Prior to joining Bonfire, Kate spent several years with AMB Property Corporation, developing communications strategies to align the company's employees with their emerging global business initiatives. She enjoyed working with the senior management team and translating their ideas into companywide communications, utilizing web, print and video media across languages and cultures.

Kate's biggest success was developing an internal training program that introduced new global employees to AMB's operating model and corporate culture. She also spearheaded AMB's involvement in the community, leading the company's Charitable Action Committee and organizing numerous fundraisers for the American Heart Association, successfully raising more than $50,000.

After graduating from Lewis & Clark College, Kate got her professional start in communications at Macy's West. She cut her teeth on internal communications by managing WestBound, a bi-monthly newsletter for store and divisional employees. By the end of her time at Macy's, she ran Federated's Product Information Team, where her work on eliminating departmental duplication significantly reduced costs across Federated's six major divisions.

Hailing from Oregon, Kate is a true outdoor girl and can be found exploring new running trails around the Bay Area in her spare time. She has trained for and completed three marathons during the past two years. Her proudest moment came at the 2006 Chicago Marathon where she shaved 34 minutes off of her previous best time.
