With a PhD in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, Daniel operates at the juncture of ideas and execution, concepts and words. He has been strategizing, writing, and naming in the Bay Area for the past 14 years, and has worked with a breadth of brands and corporate leaders on everything from brand strategy and vision development to board presentations and CEO speeches.

His expertise is in making sense of the complex and articulating it in lucid, compelling ways.

Before joining Bonfire, Daniel worked with a variety of agencies — Organic, Stone Yamashita Partners, Odopod — and clients, including Zynga, Adobe, Pearson, and Microsoft. And, as a bit of an entrepreneur, he has founded multiple internet start-ups.

Daniel has taught composition and critical theory at UC Berkeley and the San Francisco Art Institute, and has written extensively about philosophy, language, sushi, contemporary art, new media, film, and tequila. He lives in San Francisco with his 7 year-old son, Felix.
